God teaches us in Romans 9:33 that “any man, who believes in Christ, shall never be ashamed. Whether a gross sinner or a moralist; learned or illiterate; a prince or a beggar, it matters not—‘Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.’ (C.H. Spurgeon)

Christ shed blood at Calvary covered the ground at the foot of the cross. Jesus was lifted up so that people could see Him from a distance. Jesus shed blood became a propitiation for the sins of mankind. He blood was effectual in the matter that it paid for all sins, once and for all. God provided a blood covering, an atonement for our sins.

The apostle Paul said, 13 For “everyone who calls-upon the name of the Lord will be saved” Romans 10:13. Paul quoted the Old Testament passage, Joel 2:32. He was restating the prophecy of Joel in light of Jesus Christ’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead.

God offers forgiveness of sin, and salvation from an eternal hell to whosoever believes and calls on Jesus. He alone is the Rescuer, The True First Responder for all mankind, but each individual must take the initiative to reach out and call on Jesus. Just like the person who is trapped under debris after a cataclysmic crisis. Unless they call out some may not be rescued in time while life is still left in the body. Everyone is trapped under the weight of his or her sin and needs to be rescued.

There are three facts about God’s love, forgiveness and salvation. It is as simple as YES, NO, and NOW.

YES, God so loved the world, that whosoever, believes (in Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord), shall not perish, (go to an eternal hell) but have everlasting life, (eternal life in heaven). John 3:16.

NO, And there is no salvation in any other, for neither is there another name under heaven having been given among people by which we must be saved”. Acts 4:12

NOW, For He says [in Isa 49:8], “I heard you at the acceptable time. And I helped you on the day of salvation”. Behold, now is the very-acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

If you realize that you are trapped under the weight of your sins, regardless of how bad it may seem, Jesus is able to rescue you. Jesus wants to save you. You can be have God’s love, forgiveness and salvation right now. If you are ready to experience all that God has to offer you.

Say this prayer to God and mean it with all your heart:

Dear God, my life is a mess. I feel trapped and hopeless. I need to be rescued. Please forgive me of my sin, (name your sin(s). God save me. I need a new start in life. I turn, leave behind my sin and I now turn to You Jesus. Take my hand and pull me out of my troubles. I give my heart and life to you. In Jesus Name.

If you prayed this prayer and meant it, the God of the all creation, the God of the Bible is now your heavenly Father, Jesus is your Savior and Lord and the Holy Spirit lives in you. Praise God for your decision!
